Glasses with different thicknesses vary greatly in process parameters and applicable scenarios, and accurate selection can balance practicality and safety. 3-4mm thin glass is a basic civil product and a conventional mass-produced category of our glass factory. Featuring light texture, excellent light transmittance and low overall weight, it is mainly used for ordinary household doors and windows, old-style windows, simple picture frame glass, small decorative ornaments and other scenarios. It is only suitable for static indoor environments without wind pressure and impact, and is not applicable for load-bearing and high-altitude outdoor installation.
5-6mm medium-thin glass is a mainstream home decoration type with high cost performance, ranking among the top-selling products of our glass factory. It has greatly improved hardness and wind pressure resistance, suitable for most household scenarios, including household floor-to-ceiling windows, balcony windows, indoor partitions, wardrobe doors, ordinary bathroom glass, as well as ordinary shop windows of small stores, meeting the protection and lighting needs of daily home use and small-scale commercial use.
8-12mm thickened glass is a high-strength practical type. After refined tempering treatment in our glass factory, its impact resistance and compression resistance are doubled. It is mostly applied in high-frequency use scenarios such as indoor sliding doors, large floor-to-ceiling windows, shop doors and office partitions. Some thickened models can also be used for small tabletop glass, balancing light transmission and durability.
Ultra-thick glass of 15mm and above is a special engineering product customized by our glass factory for construction and special scenarios. With excellent stability and safety, it is mainly used for high-standard engineering projects such as large shopping mall glass curtain walls, building daylighting roofs, stair railings and high-altitude outdoor glass facilities, adapting to complex outdoor environments.
